Job summary

BBI Logistics is looking for a driven student to join our summer Operations Internship in Columbus, OH. You will rotate through multiple areas of operations, gaining exposure to LTL, carrier relationships, and transportation operations under a dedicated mentor.

You will identify new transportation opportunities, learn market conditions, and help negotiate lanes while collaborating with cross-functional teams.

Qualifications

• Junior and Senior undergraduates pursuing a bachelor’s degree preferred.
• Able to work in office as this internship does not offer remote opportunities.
• Hard working and positive spirit.
• Ability to learn and work in a fast-paced environment.

Responsibilities

• Rotate through different areas of operations to gain exposure to various functions.
• Work alongside teams to gain hands-on experience with LTL, carrier relationships, and transportation operations.
• Assist with identifying and developing new transportation opportunities and lanes.
• Learn how to communicate and build relationships with carriers and transportation partners.
• Gain experience understanding market conditions, evaluating transportation options, and supporting lane negotiations.
• Research and identify new carrier and truck driver opportunities to help support our growing network.
• Collaborate with departments to understand how operations support customers and BBI Logistics.
• Take on meaningful projects and responsibilities that contribute to the operations team's success.
