Job summary

Total Foodservice Group (TFG) seeks an HR Recruiting Coordinator in Denham Springs, LA to support hiring, payroll, onboarding and HR operations. You will manage postings, screen applicants, maintain records, and assist HR initiatives across locations.

Responsibilities

• Manage job postings, review applications, and conduct initial screening.
• Maintain and update the applicant tracking system with accurate candidate data.
• Communicate professionally with candidates throughout the hiring process.
• Support onboarding by preparing new hire paperwork and ensuring timely completion.
• Conduct exit interviews and assist with offboarding.
• Process payroll accurately and timely, including reviewing timekeeping records and adjusting as needed.
• Maintain accurate employee records and HR documentation.
• Assist with HR data tracking, reporting, and documentation.
• Partner with HR leadership to evaluate and improve recruitment strategies and processes.
• Contribute to special HR projects and initiatives as needed.
• Travel occasionally to support locations and HR initiatives.

HR Recruiting Coordinator

Salary Range: $18.00 To $20.00 Annually

We’re looking for a motivated, detail-oriented HR Recruiting Coordinator to support our hiring efforts across multiple locations while assisting with day-to-day HR operations. In this role, you’ll help create a smooth and positive experience for candidates and hiring managers while also supporting payroll, onboarding, employee records, and other HR initiatives and projects.

Key Responsibilities

• Manage job postings, review applications, and conduct initial screening interviews.
• Maintain and update the applicant tracking system with accurate candidate data.
• Communicate professionally with candidates throughout the hiring process.
• Support onboarding by preparing new hire paperwork and ensuring timely completion.
• Conduct exit interviews and assist with offboarding.
• Process payroll accurately and timely, including reviewing timekeeping records, making necessary adjustments, and assisting with payroll-related questions and documentation.
• Maintain accurate employee records and HR documentation.
• Assist with HR data tracking, reporting, and documentation.
• Partner with HR leadership to evaluate and improve recruitment strategies and processes.
• Contribute to special HR projects and initiatives as needed.
• Travel occasionally to support TFG locations and HR initiatives as needed.

Required Skills and Qualifications

Experience

• 1-2 years of experience in HR or recruitment coordination.
• Familiarity with applicant tracking systems and candidate communication best practices.
• Strong organizational skills with the ability to multitask effectively in a fast-paced environment.
• Ability and willingness to learn and perform payroll processing accurately and timely.

Other Requirements

• Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
• Proficiency with Google Workspace (Docs, Sheets, and Gmail).
• Basic understanding of employment laws and HR best practices.
• Strong interpersonal skills and a team-oriented mindset.
• Self-starter with a proactive and positive approach.
• Strong attention to detail and ability to maintain confidentiality when handling employee and payroll information.
• Ability and willingness to travel occasionally as needed.
• Ability to work full-time, on-site in the Denham Springs office.

Preferred Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources, Business, or a related field is preferred.
• Prior payroll processing experience is preferred, but not required.
• Experience with payroll or HRIS systems is a plus.
