Job summary

SmithGroup is seeking a Human Resources Representative to support benefits, payroll, onboarding, and HR operations in a hybrid Dallas environment.

You will maintain HRIS records, assist with compliance, and advise managers on HR policies while delivering excellent employee service. A Bachelor’s degree and 3–6 years HR experience are preferred, with UltiPro and MS Office proficiency highly valued.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in human resources, business or related field preferred.
• 3–6 years HR-related experience or related field, or equivalent combination of education and experience.
• Strong attention to detail and interpersonal communication.
• Confidential information handling is essential.
• Ability to prioritize, multitask and work independently.
• Proficiency with HRIS maintenance and file management; MS Office proficiency.
• Experience with UltiPro and talent management software is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Perform benefits and payroll administration including enrollment, claims resolution, reporting, and communicating information to employees and candidates.
• Maintain HRIS records and compile reports from the database.
• Provide customer service for employees on benefits, payroll, and policies.
• Screen candidate credentials and coordinate interview scheduling.
• Lead onboarding including orientation, E-Verify, state reporting and paperwork entry.
• Develop and administer HR plans and procedures for local personnel.
• Assist firmwide HR policy development and implementation.
• Participate in department goal setting and systems development.
• Design and maintain HR-related programs as needed.
• Provide employee relations counseling and coaching resources.
• Advise managers on HR matters and employment laws.
• Ensure compliance with federal and state employment regulations.
