Job summary

Simmons Foods, Inc. is seeking an HR professional to coordinate facility HR activities and support the HR Manager with programs for employees. You will assist with onboarding, training, and ensuring union guidelines are followed.

The role includes HRIS data processing, payroll verification, and maintaining accurate attendance records. In addition, you will help with staffing processes, participate in team activities, and support the company’s operating systems and policies.

Qualifications

• 3 years’ experience in human resources, understanding of HR policies and laws.
• Thorough understanding of Human Resources policies and laws.
• Proficient use of Microsoft Suite.

Responsibilities

• Coordinate HR activities for the facility and assist the HR Manager with programs for employees.
• Assist in learning and training programs, including new hire orientation.
• Assist managers with union guidelines for conflict or disciplinary action.
• File paperwork for Federal programs and mandates; serve as employee contact.
• Process information in HRIS systems and verify time data weekly.
• Maintain employee information and attendance records in HRIS systems.
• Support staffing: job bids, interviewing and new hire processes.
• Participate in team meetings and promote cohesiveness and best practices.
• Familiar with Simmons operating systems; communicate concerns and improvements.
• Perform other duties to support business objectives.
