Aperion Care in Rhode Island is seeking an HR/Payroll Manager to supervise our HR and payroll functions for a skilled nursing facility near West Warwick. You will oversee benefits, payroll processing, and leave programs while ensuring compliance with applicable laws and policies.

This role requires 2+ years in HR/payroll, strong confidentiality, and excellent communication skills, with long-term care experience preferred.

Qualifications

• 2+ years of HR/payroll experience; long-term care experience preferred
• Working knowledge of benefits administration, FMLA, and workers’ compensation
• Excellent interpersonal and communication skills
• A strong commitment to confidentiality
• High school diploma or equivalent required

Responsabilités

• Process weekly payroll in Paycor, including data entry and deductions
• Review and resolve payroll questions and errors weekly
• Maintain time clock system and payroll records per state and federal law
• Administer employee benefits (health, dental, life, 401(k))
• Manage FMLA and state leave programs and workers’ compensation cases
• Maintain OSHA logs and complete required documentation
• Oversee full employee lifecycle from onboarding to termination
• Coordinate new hire orientation with appropriate staff
• Explain handbook and benefits clearly to staff
• Respond to employment verification requests
• Implement corporate updates to payroll, benefits, and HR procedures
• Attend facility meetings including fire and safety meetings
• Perform additional duties as assigned
