Job summary

Addison Group in Cypress, TX is seeking an HR Specialist to move candidates quickly through the hiring process by coordinating drug tests, background checks, and other pre-employment requirements. This role will communicate candidate clearances to field managers and help resolve issues that could delay hiring.

You will also process terminations, maintain accurate HRIS records, support weekly payroll, and serve as a link between HR, Payroll, and Operations.

Qualifications

• 3+ years HR operations, compliance, onboarding, candidate processing, or workers’ compensation.
• Associate degree or higher preferred.
• Bilingual in Spanish and English.
• Knowledge of employment laws including I-9, FMLA, ADA, EEOC.
• Experience using ADP Workforce.
• Proficient in Microsoft Excel, Outlook, Word, and Teams.
• Strong communication, problem-solving, and analytical skills.
• Ability to handle confidential information professionally.

Responsibilities

• Coordinate drug tests and background checks to move candidates quickly through the hiring process.
• Communicate candidate clearances to field managers and help resolve issues delaying hiring.
• Process terminations and maintain accurate HRIS records.
• Support weekly payroll and partner with HR, Payroll, and Operations.
• Assist onboarding, I-9 documentation, ADP processing, and job postings.
• Answer employee HR and workers’ compensation questions with a solutions-focused approach.
