Job summary

HMSHost seeks a Field HR Specialist to handle complex HR administrative tasks within the branch, providing tactical support and ensuring compliance with guidelines. The role includes recruiting assistance, new hire orientation, and maintaining HR records in a fast-paced airport environment.

This non-exempt position reports to the HR Manager and requires 3–4 years of HR experience, a high school diploma or GED, and familiarity with HRMS systems.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required.
• 3–4 years of HR administrative experience.
• Coursework toward HR certification or understanding of HR best practices.
• Familiarity with HRMS systems; PeopleSoft a plus.

Responsibilities

• Establish a positive HR presence with associates and management within the branch.
• Apply federal, state, and local HR laws, CBAs, and HR policies and procedures.
• Ensure HR standards are understood and followed by associates.
• Coordinate / facilitate HR investigations.
• Interact with associates to resolve HR administration issues, maintain confidentiality.
• Understand airport/landlord policies and assist with operations compliance.
• Support recruitment: postings, screenings, interviews, onboarding tasks, scheduling badge activities.
• Respond to inquiries about pay, PTO, scheduling, assignments, policies, and onboarding.
• Maintain employee files, HRMS data, reports, logs, and documents.
• Coordinate and deliver new hire orientation.
• Promote positive associate and labor relations.
