Key Responsibilities:

Compliance & Policy Management

  • Ensure HR policies and practices comply with federal, state, and local employment laws and regulations.
  • Conduct regular audits and risk assessments to identify and mitigate compliance issues.
  • Maintain and update the employee handbook and HR policies in alignment with legal and organizational changes.

Benefits Administration

  • Oversee the administration of employee benefits programs, including health insurance, retirement plans, leave policies, and wellness initiatives.
  • Serve as the primary liaison with benefits vendors and brokers.
  • Lead annual open enrollment processes and employee communications regarding benefits.

Employee Relations

  • Serve as a trusted advisor to managers and employees on employee relations matters.
  • Investigate and resolve employee complaints, conflicts, and workplace issues fairly and promptly.
  • Promote a positive and inclusive workplace culture through proactive engagement and communication.
  • Ensure consistent application of company policies and procedures.

HR Operations & Systems

  • Manage HRIS systems and ensure data integrity, reporting, and analytics.
  • Streamline and improve HR processes for efficiency and scalability.
  • Support payroll processes in collaboration with Finance.
  • Oversee full-cycle recruitment processes to attract and hire top talent.
  • Collaborate with hiring managers to define job requirements and develop effective sourcing strategies.
  • Ensure a positive candidate experience and promote employer branding.
  • Monitor recruitment metrics and continuously improve hiring practices.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or related field
  • 7+ years of progressive HR experience, with at least 2 years in an HR operations or compliance-focused role.
  • Strong knowledge of employment laws, employee relations practices, and HR best practices.
  • Experience with HRIS platforms and benefits administration.
  • Excellent communication, conflict resolution, and project management skills.
  • HR certification (e.g., SHRM-CP, PHR) is a plus.
