Job summary

The Hoffman Agency is seeking an organized HR Operations Specialist to run day-to-day HR across our US offices in Boston, Portland and San Jose. You’ll own onboarding/offboarding, maintain confidential records, and support benefits, policies and programs with discretion and a sense of humor.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources or related field.
• 2–4 years of progressive HR experience in an agency, professional services or media environment.
• PHR/SHRM-CP certification preferred or pursuing.
• Experience supporting recruitment across multiple levels.
• Experience with HRIS and ATS platforms; BambooHR and Lattice a plus.

Responsibilities

• Keep HR records, databases and files accurate and confidential.
• Own onboarding and offboarding paperwork to ensure smooth starts and exits.
• Administer HR policies, procedures and programs across US offices.
• Track training, certifications and deadlines; nudge completion where needed.
• Answer policy, benefits and program questions; escalate when needed.
• Prepare HR reports, metrics and leadership presentations.
• Serve as power user of HR tools and reconcile data between systems.
• Oversee bi-annual performance review processes and timelines.
• Support end-to-end hiring for interns to senior leaders.
