Job summary

Silgan Plastics seeks an HR Coordinator to lead day‑to‑day HR operations at the Ligonier plant. You will administer HR policies, manage payroll and Workday, and support safety, training, and employee relations to foster a high‑performance, employee‑oriented culture.

You will partner with management on staffing, development, compliance, and benefits, ensuring consistent HR practices aligned with company goals and legal requirements.

• Experience in workers compensation claim processing and legalities.
• Excellent computer skills in a Microsoft Office environment.

Responsibilities

• Develops and administers HR programs aligning workforce with company goals.
• Manages recruitment for hourly and salaried employees.
• Maintains Workday (HCM) and processes weekly payroll.
• Partners with accounting and payroll for payroll data.
• Implements performance management and employee development programs.
• Establishes in-house training systems and onboarding processes.
• Coordinates external training and consultants as needed.
• Maintains training records and reports.
• Advises managers on employment practices and investigations.
• Ensures legal compliance with labor laws and safety policies.
• Supports safety and labor relations initiatives at the plant.
