Job summary

Prairie Field Services in Casper, WY is seeking a Recruiting Specialist to design, manage, and execute full-cycle recruiting across multiple disciplines and regions, partnering with leadership to forecast workforce needs and strengthen the employment brand.

The role also supports marketing efforts, manages social media on LinkedIn and Facebook, sources high-quality talent through traditional and digital channels, and ensures DOT hiring standards and compliance throughout the candidate journey.

Qualifications

• 2+ years of recruiting experience preferred
• 1+ year of marketing and/or social media management experience preferred
• DOT hiring experience strongly preferred
• Experience in trucking, oil & gas, or manufacturing industries preferred
• Strong verbal, written, and interpersonal communication skills
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite
• Ability to manage multiple priorities with a strong sense of urgency
• Skilled in social networking and internet sourcing strategies
• Demonstrated ability to maintain confidentiality
• Exceptional organizational and time-management skills

Responsibilities

• Lead full cycle recruiting efforts including sourcing, screening, interviewing, salary negotiation, background checks, and DOT pre-employment requirements.
• Maintain expert-level knowledge of operations, hiring needs, positions, equipment, and compensation packages to guide candidates.
• Conduct applicant screening, interview qualified candidates, manage MVR processing, and ensure DOT/internal standards are met.
• Present qualified candidates to hiring managers, recommend selections, and deliver offers for exempt/non-exempt roles.
• Communicate with candidates throughout the hiring process about benefits, compensation, expectations, and DOT requirements.
• Manage social media platforms (Facebook/LinkedIn) and support content creation to boost brand awareness.
• Utilize traditional and digital recruiting methods (career fairs, events, networking, social media).
• Partner with hiring managers to determine staffing needs and draft/refine job descriptions.
• Develop staffing forecast dashboards and provide data on results vs projections.
• Maintain recruiting metrics and weekly updates for leadership.
• Manage candidate pipelines through ATS and maintain data integrity.
• Ensure compliance with all federal and state employment laws and company policies.
