Job summary

The Washington State School for the Blind (WSSB) invites applications for an HR Consultant Assistant 2 (HRCA2). This role provides direct customer‑level HR services, supports onboarding and benefits, and maintains HR data under supervision.

It contributes to equitable HR practices and supports staffing and training initiatives across the campus in Vancouver. Under the department director, the HRCA2 handles data entry, benefits support and recruitment activities while upholding confidentiality

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree or equivalent combination of education and HR experience.
• Strong analytical and communication skills.
• Commitment to equity, inclusion, and ethical HR practices.
• Ability to manage confidential information.

Responsibilities

• Provides direct HR services for benefits, retirement and payroll process needs.
• Enters, retrieves and validates data from HR information systems and records.
• Processes data entry for employee, payroll, benefits, safety and health systems.
• Assists with recruiting, including job postings, screening and interviewing questions.
• Assists to develop and implement employee training.
