Job summary

Washington State School for the Blind is seeking a Human Resource Consultant Assistant 2 (HRCA2) to provide direct HR services, including onboarding, benefits, and data entry, under supervision. The role supports equitable HR practices and contributes to projects aligned with policy and compliance.

You will assist with recruitment, employee training, and HRIS data management, while maintaining confidential information and collaborating with a diverse team.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree or equivalent combination of education and HR-related experience.
• Strong analytical and communication skills required.
• Commitment to equity, inclusion, and ethical HR practices.
• Ability to manage confidential information and work with sensitive data.
• Experience with HRIS or data systems is preferred.
• Customer-service orientation and teamwork skills.

Responsibilities

• Provides direct customer-level HR service including onboarding, orientation and benefits support.
• Handles data entry and maintains HR records and reports.
• Supports recruitment, job postings, and candidate evaluation processes.
• Assists with training development and delivery as needed.
• Responds to inquiries and supports employees and managers with HRIS data and policies.
• Other duties as assigned by supervisor.
