Job summary

TALENT Software Services is seeking a professional HR Generalist to support the Department of General Services (DGS) in Nashville. You will handle the employee lifecycle, from recruitment and onboarding to payroll coordination and offboarding, while maintaining confidentiality.

The role focuses on accurate HR data, timely processes, and responsive service to employees, managers, and HR partners, with a hybrid work arrangement between 2–5 days on-site. A bachelor’s degree is required.

Qualifications

• Education: Graduation from an accredited college or university with a bachelor's degree.
• Substitution of Experience for Education: Qualifying full-time HR experience may substitute for the required education on a year-for-year basis up to four years.

Responsibilities

• Prepare, process, review, and track HR transactions including hires, promotions, transfers, separations, retirements, and other employee or position changes.
• Support recruitment activities: job postings, hiring documentation, interview materials, and coordination with hiring managers and HR partners.
• Coordinate onboarding: required documents, communications, and follow-up activities.
• Maintain accurate employee information and tracking tools.
• Respond to routine employee and manager questions regarding HR policies, benefits, leave, payroll, and HR programs.
• Coordinate separations and offboarding activities for timely transitions.
• Assist with HR projects, process improvements, and employee communications.
• Partner with internal and external stakeholders to ensure HR actions are completed accurately and timely.
• Provide responsive, professional customer service to employees, managers, and HR partners.
• Perform other related HR duties as assigned.
