Qualifications

• 1–3 years of HR experience in generalist/employee relations roles.
• Strong judgment and ability to keep information confidential.
• Excellent written communication and approachable demeanor.
• Ability to juggle multiple tasks and meet deadlines.
• Comfort coaching managers and direct conversations with kindness.
• Curiosity and quick learning, including collective bargaining agreements.
• Love for building connections and improving employee experience.
• Experience with HR systems and willingness to learn new tools (Harri a plus).
• Nice to have: SHRM-CP or PHR; exposure to retail/food service or union environments.

Responsibilities

• Serve as first point of contact for employee and manager concerns; document cases.
• Support labor relations by managing grievances and tracking deadlines per contract.
• Oversee recruiting and onboarding communications; coordinate welcome materials.
• Provide guidance to managers to ensure consistent HR practices across locations.
• Lead wellness initiatives and employee recognition programs.
• Maintain compliant HR records and audit-ready HRIS data.
