Job summary

Kommissary is seeking an experienced HR Manager to join our multi-location operation. You will own payroll, oversee HR operations, employee relations, compliance, and the employee lifecycle.

This hands-on role emphasizes relationship-building with employees and managers, proactive problem solving, and building structured People practices across locations. Strong English/Spanish skills are preferred and you will work closely with leadership to drive improvements.

Qualifications

• 3–5 years of progressive Human Resources experience.
• Hands-on payroll processing experience required.
• Experience supporting a multi-location workforce.
• Experience with HRIS, payroll, and timekeeping systems; Paylocity experience a plus.

Responsibilities

• Own payroll process end-to-end across multiple locations.
• Oversee HR operations and employee lifecycle.
• Support employee relations and manager coaching.
• Ensure compliance with federal, state, and local employment requirements.
• Partner with leadership to build scalable People practices across locations.
