Soni is seeking an experienced HR Manager to own day-to-day people operations across the full employment lifecycle in Austin, Texas. This hands-on, high-visibility role supports employees and leadership, working directly with executive leadership and the CFO on workforce planning and ownership culture.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in HR, business, or related field.
  • 5+ years of HR management or senior HR generalist experience.
  • Broad knowledge of payroll, employee benefits, employment regulations, recruiting, and employee relations.
  • Direct experience processing payroll.
  • Fluent in English; Spanish preferred.
  • Experience in construction/engineering/architecture or related industry is helpful but not required.

Responsibilities

  • Manage hiring activities, including job postings, applicant review, and interview coordination.
  • Process weekly payroll and support related tax, deduction, and reporting requirements.
  • Administer health and retirement programs, including 401(k) and employee-ownership benefits.
  • Advise employees and managers on workplace policies, leave, compensation, benefits, and performance concerns.
  • Support employee-relations matters and assist with resolving workplace issues.
  • Coordinate annual reviews, goal setting, and professional-development activities.
  • Maintain accurate HRIS data and confidential employee documentation.
  • Promote compliance with applicable employment regulations and internal practices.
  • Partner with the CFO and senior leaders on workforce planning and organizational initiatives.
  • Help employees understand and participate in the company's ownership culture.

Job description

A well-established client is seeking an experienced HR Manager to take ownership of its day-to-day people operations. This is a highly visible, hands-on position supporting employees and leadership across the full employment lifecycle.

The ideal candidate is an approachable and resourceful HR generalist who enjoys balancing employee support with essential operational responsibilities. This individual will initially serve as the organization's primary HR contact and work directly with executive leadership.

Key Responsibilities

  • Manage hiring activities, including job postings, applicant review, and interview coordination.
  • Process weekly payroll and support related tax, deduction, and reporting requirements
  • Administer health and retirement programs, including 401(k) and employee-ownership benefits
  • Advise employees and managers on workplace policies, leave, compensation, benefits, and performance concerns

  • Broad knowledge of payroll, employee benefits, employment regulations, recruiting, and employee relations
  • Direct experience processing payroll
  • Comfort working independently and managing both strategic and administrative priorities
  • Working knowledge of foundational accounting concepts
  • Professional fluency in English and Spanish is preferred
  • Familiarity with employee stock ownership plans is a plus
  • Experience in construction, engineering, architecture, or a related industry is helpful but not required
