Job summary

The Oilgear Company seeks an on-site HR Manager to lead the HR function across Traverse City, MI and additional sites nationwide, including remote teams.

You will drive employee relations, policy compliance, safety programs, and payroll oversight, partnering with site leaders to align HR with business goals. A Bachelor's in HR/Business and 5+ years' manufacturing HR experience are required.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in HR, business, or related field.
• 5+ years of progressive HR experience.
• HR business partner experience in manufacturing.
• Experience with FMLA, ADA, investigations, and terminations.
• Multi-state payroll compliance and ADP knowledge.
• Excellent communication and judgment.

Responsibilities

• Act as on-site HR leader for Traverse City, Houston, Georgetown, New Berlin, and remote teams.
• Lead company-wide HR programs and policies at supported locations.
• Coach managers on employee relations, performance, and documentation.
• Oversee safety, payroll, benefits, and compliance.
• Support staffing for hourly roles and recruiting with hiring managers.
• Conduct workplace investigations and accommodation decisions.
