We are seeking an experienced HR Manager to lead the HR function for an established manufacturing organization in Elizabethtown, KY. This position will serve as a strategic business partner to leadership while overseeing key HR initiatives, employee development, talent management, and organizational effectiveness.
The ideal candidate will have extensive HR leadership experience and a strong background in talent acquisition, performance management, compensation and benefits, employee development, compliance, and HR operations.
Key Responsibilities
- Develop and execute recruitment and talent acquisition strategies aligned with business objectives.
- Lead employee retention and engagement initiatives.
- Manage the annual performance management process, including goal setting, mid-year reviews, and year-end evaluations.
- Develop and implement training, employee development, and organizational development programs.
- Partner with leadership to develop and execute the overall people strategy.
- Oversee compensation and benefits programs to ensure competitiveness and compliance.
- Evaluate benefit programs and recommend improvements based on organizational needs.
- Improve HR processes, systems, and technology to increase efficiency and data accuracy.
- Support workforce planning, organizational structure, and staffing strategies.
- Assess organizational culture and recommend initiatives to improve employee engagement and performance.
- Develop, implement, and maintain HR policies and procedures.
- Manage HR budgets and monitor workforce costs and productivity.
- Partner with external HR vendors and service providers as needed.
- Ensure compliance with applicable federal, state, and local employment laws and regulations.
- Support organizational change initiatives and provide HR guidance to leadership and employees.
- Collaborate with departments across the organization on workforce and business initiatives.
Qualifications
- Bachelor's or Master's degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, Organizational Development, or a related field.
- 15+ years of progressive HR experience, with experience in a leadership or management capacity.
- Manufacturing, industrial, plant, production, or other operational workforce experience preferred.
- Strong knowledge of federal, state, and local employment laws and regulations.
- Experience with compensation, benefits, performance management, recruiting, retention, and employee development.
- Strong understanding of organizational development and workforce planning.
- Experience with HR systems, technology, and employee data management.
- Demonstrated experience with strategic planning, change management, and process improvement.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- Strong leadership, interpersonal, and relationship-building abilities.
- Ability to manage multiple priorities and projects in a fast-paced environment.
- Willingness to work a flexible schedule based on business needs.
