Job summary

Pilgrim’s seeks an HR Manager in Training based at a designated home facility. The role is designed to build bench strength for future Complex HR Manager openings, with location chosen by proximity and business needs.

You will support day-to-day HR activities, recruit and orient staff, maintain benefits records, coordinate management training, and assist in complex compensation programs. Bachelor’s degree and 5 years’ HR experience preferred.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Human Resources Management, or related field or equivalent experience.
• Minimum 5 years’ experience in HR management or supervision.
• Broad knowledge of federal and state employment laws.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
• Willingness to relocate to Pilgrim’s facilities as needed.

Responsibilities

• Plans and administers HR policies across all phases of HR activity.
• Recruits, interviews, orients and maintains records for employees.
• Manages benefits, compensation programs and training coordination.
• Advises management on employee relations and policy issues.
• Handles union interactions and grievances as needed.
