Job summary

VISPO, a Vermont nonprofit broadband district, is seeking an HR Manager who will oversee compliance, policies, benefits, rewards, and employee relations while partnering with leadership to grow our team. The role leads talent acquisition and onboarding, manages apprenticeship programs, supports performance evaluations, and develops wellness and learning initiatives to strengthen our workforce and culture.

Required: a 4-year degree in business or HR and 3–5 years HR experience; SHRM or HRCI

Qualifications

• 4-year degree in business, HR, or related field.
• 3–5 years of progressive HR experience.
• SHRM or HRCI credential preferred.
• Excellent interpersonal and communication skills; ability to partner with leaders.

Responsibilities

• Ensure compliance with laws, policies, and regulations; educate stakeholders.
• Develop and maintain job descriptions for all positions.
• Lead talent acquisition and onboarding activities and candidate relations.
• Oversee apprenticeship and internship programs.
• Plan and manage total rewards, benefits, and compensation initiatives.
• Lead wellness programs and employee development initiatives.
