Job summary

Moss Consulting HR Services in San Antonio, TX is seeking an HR Manager to own the HR function for the growing group of business owners we support. This is a hands-on leadership role for someone who takes initiative and operates with integrity.

You will manage payroll, benefits, onboarding/offboarding, compliance, and employee relations end-to-end, partnering with ownership to push back when needed and drive effective people operations across client businesses.

Qualifications

• PHR or SHRM-CP certification
• Proven experience managing complex employee relations independently
• Full competency in HR compliance auditing
• Able to partner with ownership and deliver difficult news
• Reliable team contributor with accountability
• Interest in developing others
• Familiarity with EOS framework is a plus

Responsibilities

• Own all major HR functions end-to-end for assigned client businesses—payroll, benefits, onboarding/offboarding, compliance, and more
• Manage complex employee relations matters from intake to resolution
• Own compliance calendar for I-9, FLSA, EEO-1, ACA, and state requirements
• Evaluate HR health at each client and present findings to leadership
• Lead open enrollment and performance review cycles
• Partner with ownership-level leadership for tough conversations
• Support clients in running effective people operations
