Job summary

Moss Consulting HR Services in Oklahoma City is seeking an HR Manager to own the HR function for a growing group of business owners. This hands-on leadership role requires initiative, integrity, and comfort with both details and strategic conversations with ownership.

You will manage payroll, benefits, compliance, employee relations, onboarding/offboarding, and performance cycles, partnering with leadership to drive effective people operations across client businesses.

Qualifications

• PHR or SHRM-CP certification.
• Proven experience managing complex employee relations independently.
• Full competency in HR compliance auditing.
• Comfortable partnering with ownership — including delivering difficult news.
• Reliable and a strong contributor who moves work forward.
• Genuine interest in developing others, not just tasks.
• Experience with EOS is a significant plus.

Responsibilities

• Own all major HR functions end-to-end for assigned client businesses — payroll, benefits administration, conflict resolution, leadership support, onboarding/offboarding, compliance, and more
• Manage complex employee relations matters from intake to resolution
• Own the compliance calendar for assigned clients: I-9, FLSA, EEO-1, ACA, and applicable state requirements
• Evaluate the overall health of HR at each client — identifying gaps and presenting findings to leadership
• Lead open enrollment and performance review cycles
• Partner directly with client ownership-level leadership — including the hard conversations
• Support client businesses in running effective people operations

The Role

Moss Consulting is looking for an HR Manager in [Market City, State] who is ready to own the HR function for the growing group of business owners we support. This is a hands‑on leadership role for someone who takes initiative, operates with integrity, and is equally comfortable in the details and in the room with ownership.

What You’ll Do

• Own all major HR functions end-to-end for our assigned client businesses — payroll, benefits administration, conflict resolution, leadership support, onboarding/offboarding, compliance, and more
• Manage complex employee relations matters from intake to resolution

Compensation

• $37.50/hr to start, progressing to $50.00/hr across the first year
• Quarterly revenue share on work you manage
• Additional revenue share for any business you originate — no expectation; we simply believe in rewarding our team when they help us grow

What We’re Looking For

• PHR or SHRM-CP certification
• Proven experience managing complex employee relations independently
• Full competency in HR compliance auditing
• Comfortable partnering with and advising ownership — including delivering difficult news and pushing back when it matters
• Reliable, a strong contributor, and someone peers count on to move work forward
• Genuine interest in developing others, not just managing tasks
