Job summary

Equus Workforce Solutions is seeking an experienced HR Manager to lead employee relations, compliance, and HR operations across one or more sites in the United States. You will guide investigations, mediate conflicts, ensure wage-and-hour compliance, and support start-ups and new-hire processes.

Responsibilities include maintaining accurate data in the HRIS, training supervisors, conducting audits, and supporting salary surveys.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in business management, human resources, psychology or related field; or equivalent combination of education and experience.
• Excellent organizational skills and strong attention to detail.
• Outstanding communication skills, both written and oral; professional with employees and management at all levels.
• Knowledge of federal and state labor laws and regulatory compliance.
• Foundational proficiency with word processing and spreadsheet applications (MS Word/Excel).
• 5+ years of related HR experience.
• PHR or SPHR certification preferred.

Responsibilities

• Provide operations management with guidance on employee relation concerns and mediation to foster positive outcomes.
• Serve as employee relations contact for day-to-day conflict resolution.
• Act as intermediary between Regional HR Director and operations.
• Ensure Federal & State Wage and Hour compliance.
• Function as the hands-on HR Manager for one or more sites.
• Assist in resolution of employee issues to resolve problems promptly.
• Ensure operations comply with OSHA.
• Assist with start-ups and facilitate new hire processes.
• Maintain accurate employee data in the Enterprise system.
• Ensure compliance of Equus training standards and goals.
• Support Federal/State wage and hour audits with requested information.
• Recruit and post job openings for your area.
• Conduct routine salary surveys for your operations.
• Ensure HR training for supervisors is up to date.
• Assist supervisors with corrective action and performance improvement plans.
• Other duties as assigned.
