Summary
The Human Resources Manager plays a key strategic and hands‑on role in developing and implementing people-focused initiatives that support our organizational goals. This position partners proactively with respective business leaders to understand evolving business needs and translate them into actionable HR strategies that strengthen our culture, enhance employee engagement, and drive organizational performance.
Tasks and Responsibilities
- Collaborate with business leaders to align HR strategies with overall organizational goals.
- Manage and resolve complex employee relations issues. Conduct effective, thorough and objective investigations. Provide guidance on employee relations matters, including conflict resolution, performance improvement plans, and policy adherence.
- Maintain in‑depth knowledge of legal requirements related to day‑to‑day management of employees, reducing legal risks and ensuring regulatory compliance. Partner with legal resources as needed/required. Management of site UI, WC, EEO, etc.
- Provide day‑to‑day performance management guidance to managers (e.g., coaching, counseling, career development, training recommendations and disciplinary actions).
- Work closely with management and employees to improve work relationships, build morale, and increase employee engagement and retention.
- Provide HR policy guidance and interpretation.
- Lead recruitment efforts and develop contract terms for new hires, promotions and transfers.
- Payroll management; work with managers to ensure timecard accuracy and consistency. Review final ledger for accuracy before payments are released.
- May include support and interpretation of employee benefit programs, company vehicles, training development, etc.
- Ensure site is maintaining employee records, data and reporting with the highest degree of confidentiality and in accordance with the General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR).
- Coordinate/develop training plans as needed. Manage annual review process and assist in performance management including both compensation/incentives and warnings/discipline process.
- Other tasks and projects as necessary or assigned.
Education and Experience
- 4‑year degree in a Business, Human Resources, Communications or related field
- Minimum of 7 years work experience in Human Resources
Desired
- Masters in an HR related field – preferred

Geography and Travel
Role covers TSS Pittsburgh, some travel might be necessary for HR training or conferences. Under 10%.
