Job Summary

The Human Resources Manager oversees HR functions at the Latrobe facility, leading a team of two. This role partners with plant management to foster a positive, high-performing environment, ensuring HR strategies align with business goals. Reporting to the CHRO, the role also involves supporting site-specific projects aligned with company-wide initiatives.

Duties and Responsibilities
  1. Develop and evaluate employee relations programs.
  2. Translate business plans into HR strategies; communicate these to the team.
  3. Coach leaders on HR issues like discipline, LOA, and attendance.
  4. Ensure compliance with laws and regulations; update the team accordingly.
  5. Identify continuous learning opportunities for HR staff.
  6. Collaborate on staffing, recruitment, and onboarding processes.
  7. Coordinate employee training and orientation programs.
  8. Analyze turnover, absenteeism, and staffing metrics.
  9. Implement retention initiatives.
  10. Resolve employee issues and conflicts.
  11. Support staffing levels in collaboration with operations.
  12. Promote a high-performance work environment as a business partner.
  13. Assist with performance goal setting and feedback.
  14. Lead open enrollment and benefits communication.
  15. Maintain HR records and ensure compliance.
  16. Support succession planning.
  17. Manage labor relations and collective bargaining issues.
  18. Represent the company at personnel hearings.
  19. Engage with employees across facilities and support management.
Minimum Qualifications
  • Bachelor’s Degree in HR or related field.
  • Professional HR certifications preferred.
  • At least 7 years of HR leadership experience, preferably in manufacturing.
  • Strong generalist background and experience with labor unions.
  • Knowledge of employment laws and HR metrics.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Proficiency in MS Office, HRIS, and related systems.
  • Willingness to commute and support a 24/7 workforce.
