Job summary

Springfield Clinic seeks a seasoned HR Generalist to partner with leadership and drive people initiatives across talent management, performance, and development. You will serve as trusted advisor on employee relations, policy, and change management while ensuring regulatory compliance.

The role requires five+ years in HR, a Bachelor’s in HR or related field, and strong data analysis skills. Travel as needed. Reports to the HR Director.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources or related field.
  • Minimum of five years of HR experience or managing employee situations in response to business needs.
  • Ability to travel as needed.
  • Experience with Microsoft Word, PowerPoint, Excel.
  • Knowledge of talent management, compensation/HRIS, benefits, and employee relations.
  • Advanced communication, critical thinking, problem-solving, conflict resolution, analytical, organizational, time management, interpersonal, delivery, facilitation, and relationship-building skills.
  • Professional HR certification (PHR, SPHR, SHRM-CP, SHRM-SCP) preferred.
  • Master’s degree preferred.

Responsibilities

  • Provide HR generalist support for talent management, performance management, employee development, compensation, and training.
  • Partner with senior leaders and executives to develop and drive initiatives aligned with business and people priorities.
  • Lead or participate in enterprise-wide initiatives, including mergers and acquisitions and HR/business transformation projects.
  • Develop and analyze HR data to guide people strategy planning and execution.
  • Align HR strategy with business goals and provide HR leadership and project management.
  • Serve as an HR consultant, employee champion, change agent, and trusted advisor.
  • Handle employee relations matters, investigations, disciplinary processes, performance conversations, and policy guidance.
  • Develop organizational capability through succession planning, resourcing strategies, training, mentorship, and skill-gap identification.
  • Support annual performance reviews and performance and reward initiatives.
  • Manage and communicate organizational change efforts and support organizational objectives.
  • Ensure compliance with HR policies, programs, legal and regulatory requirements, OSHA training, and Springfield Clinic standards.
  • Advise leaders on employment law, problem resolution, disciplinary action, and employee relations.
  • Maintain confidentiality and fair, equitable treatment of employees.
  • Provide customer service, comply with incident reporting procedures and Code of Conduct and Ethics Standards.
  • Perform other duties as assigned.

Requirements
