Job summary

SanMar is seeking a Manager, Human Resources to advise the Distribution Center leadership, lead HR operations and drive employee relations. You will oversee payroll, benefits, recruiting and coaching for the DC team, while ensuring compliance and employee development.

This role requires strong HR knowledge, leadership experience, and the ability to work hands-on on the floor with staff. Excellent benefits and a performance-based bonus are offered.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Human Resources, Business, or related field or equivalent work experience.
• At least 1 year of leadership experience in Human Resources.
• 8+ years resolving complex employee relations issues.
• Bilingual in Spanish is preferred.
• PHR-HRCI certification preferred.
• Knowledge of benefits, compensation, employee relations, and employment laws.

Responsibilities

• Provide HR guidance and support to the DC General Manager and Assistant General Manager.
• Manage the DC HR staff including timekeeping, payroll, benefits and recruiting.
• Lead full-cycle recruiting and onboarding for all exempt and non-exempt positions.
• Investigate and resolve complex employee relations issues with objectivity.
• Provide performance management coaching and administer reviews for leadership.
• Walk the production floor to engage with employees.
• Participate in leadership training program selection and evaluation.
• Administer and communicate benefit programs (medical, dental, life, PTO, 401k, leaves).
• Perform other duties as assigned and comply with policies.
