Job summary

Steel of West Virginia is seeking a motivated HR Intern to gain hands-on experience across talent acquisition, onboarding, digital process improvement, and employee engagement initiatives. You’ll contribute to projects that impact our team’s success and learn real-world HR functions.

This internship offers exposure to interviews, new hire orientations, and HR projects with mentorship and the chance to develop proficiency in Microsoft Office and HR workflows.

Qualifications

• Pursuing a Bachelor’s degree in HR, Organizational Leadership, Business Administration, or related field.
• GPA of 2.7 or above.
• Strong communication skills (verbal and written).
• Comfortable working with all levels and able to meet deadlines.
• Self-motivated and able to work independently.
• Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail.
• Proficient in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Outlook).
• Ability to manage multiple tasks effectively.

Responsibilities

• Aid and improve talent acquisition efforts
• Conduct phone screens
• Assist in administering new hire orientations
• Help create and maintain forms and templates (Adobe, MS Forms)
• Maintain inventory of department promotional products
• Coordinate and track the onboarding process
• Assist with HR projects
• All other duties as assigned
