Job summary

La-Z-Boy Inc. is seeking a self-motivated HR intern to join at World HQ in Monroe, MI. You will support various HR projects, gain hands-on experience, and learn La-Z-Boy's business strategy and processes while collaborating with the leadership team.

The program offers a hybrid work model (remote two days a week), exposure to senior leaders, and a path to develop professional skills in a supportive environment.

Qualifications

• Currently enrolled in a four-year Bachelor’s degree program focused on HR with 2-3 years completed.
• Excellent interpersonal, verbal and written communication and organizational skills.
• Must be able to work in a team-based environment as well as individually.
• Strong proficiency in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, and PowerPoint) a must.
• Ability to travel may be required.

Responsibilities

• Support the HR Department at La-Z-Boy’s World HQ in Monroe, MI on HR projects.
• Participate in a variety of HR processes to develop business acumen and understanding of La-Z-Boy strategy.
• Interact with senior leadership and present accomplishments at the end of the season.
• Harbor commitment to confidentiality when handling sensitive information.
