Job summary

Paycom in Milan, IL is seeking a motivated Human Resources Intern to join our HR team and gain hands-on experience across recruiting, onboarding, communications, records, and special projects. This paid internship runs on-site and pays $19.23 per hour, with mentorship from an experienced HR team and exposure to multiple departments.

You will help with posting jobs, interviews, orientation prep, employee engagement, HR documentation, and reporting.

Qualifications

• Currently pursuing or recently completed a degree in HR, Business Admin, Psychology or Communications.
• Interest in pursuing a career in human resources.
• Previous office, customer service or administrative experience preferred but not required.

Responsibilities

• Assist with posting jobs, reviewing applications, scheduling interviews and candidate communication.
• Help prepare for new-hire orientation and onboarding.
• Support employee engagement initiatives, events and internal communications.
• Maintain accurate employee records and HR documentation.
• Help update job descriptions, forms, training materials and HR resources.
• Coordinate performance reviews and other employee programs.
• Prepare reports for HR projects and suggest process improvements.
• Gather information and work with leaders to understand staffing needs.
• Handle confidential information with discretion.
