Job summary

Cambridge Investment Research, Inc. is seeking a Human Resources Intern to support the HR team and act as a peer liaison for Cambridge interns. The intern will rotate across HR functions to gain exposure to the employee lifecycle and assist with recruiting, onboarding, and HR operations.

The 11-week paid summer internship runs May 17 – July 30 and is on-site at Fairfield, IA. Housing is available in Fairfield, with mentorship and a professional development program to build skills and networks in

Qualifications

Current undergraduate student pursuing HR\, Business\, Communication\, or Psychology.
Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
Interest in developing confidence navigating difficult conversations and conflict in a professional environment.
Willingness to step into new projects as needs evolve.
Passion for event coordination and using feedback to improve programs.

Responsibilities

Help lead the internship program by serving as a peer resource and liaison for interns.
Plan and facilitate intern events, coordinate communications, gather feedback and improve the program.
Rotate among HR functions and support recruiting, onboarding, business support and other HR activities.
Provide administrative and project support for the internship program including scheduling and documentation.
Review and update job descriptions to ensure clarity and currency.
