Job summary

Cambridge is offering a Next Step 11‑week paid summer internship for students in the United States. The Human Resources Intern will support the HR team as a peer liaison for Cambridge interns, rotating through HR functions and gaining broad exposure to the employee lifecycle.

Qualifications

• Current undergraduate student pursuing HR, Business, Communication, Psychology, or a related field.
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills with peers and colleagues.
• Interest in developing confidence navigating difficult conversations in a professional environment.
• Critical-thinking, adaptability, initiative, and willingness to take on new projects.

Responsibilities

• Help lead the internship program as a peer resource and liaison for interns.
• Plan and facilitate intern events, coordinate communications, gather feedback, and apply insights to improve the program.
• Rotate among HR functions and support recruiting, onboarding, business support and other HR activities.
• Provide administrative and project support for the internship program (scheduling, communication, documentation, coordination, follow-up).
• Review and update job descriptions to ensure responsibilities and qualifications are clear and current.
• Use Excel, DocuSign, Workday, Outlook, SharePoint, and Word to support HR operations and program administration.
