Job summary

AMETEK, Inc. is seeking a driven Human Resources Intern to support HR initiatives in employee development, talent acquisition, and organizational effectiveness. The role focuses on maintaining HR systems, tracking metrics, and aiding succession planning and employee relations.

You will recruit and onboard direct labor talent, develop organizational communications, and update job descriptions, with exposure to payroll/time reporting and unemployment handling as needed.

Qualifications

• Pursuing a Bachelor’s or Master’s in Business, Human Resource Management, or related field; Sophomore/Junior preferred.
• Able to work part-time during school and full-time during breaks.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills required.

Responsibilities

• Update training records in MQ1.
• Utilize HRIS (SuccessFactors) for data entry and reporting.
• Track HR metrics, targets, and goals.
• Support employee relations and community relations initiatives.
• Assist succession planning by creating development plans.
• Update and revise job descriptions.
• Attract and hire direct labor talent for onboarding.
• Write organizational announcements for new hires.
• Assist in payroll/time and attendance tracking and unemployment claims.
