Fortune Personnel Consultants - Orlando Office is seeking an HR Director for a large Indiana manufacturing operation with 1000+ employees. The role leads an HR team, aligns workforce strategy with production plans and drives labor planning, retention and policy implementation.

The candidate will partner with senior leaders to improve organizational structure, efficiency and workforce capability across multiple shifts. On-site work in Indiana is required, with a focus on non-union hourly staff.

Qualifications

  • Must have HR leadership at a Manager level experience in automotive or high-volume manufacturing.
  • Experience leading a team of HR professionals with broad functional knowledge across employee relations, recruiting, compensation, benefits, payroll and compliance.
  • Experience developing and implementing HR strategies with measurable improvements in retention, staffing, leadership capability or organizational performance.
  • Experience translating business and production plans into workforce requirements, budgets and hiring and development priorities.
  • A record of building succession plans and leadership-development programs that prepare internal candidates for greater responsibility.
  • Experience advising senior operating leaders on organizational structure & workforce initiatives.
  • Experience supporting hourly and salaried employees across multiple shifts.
  • Ability & Interest in working on-site in Indiana.

Responsibilities

  • Develop and execute an HR strategy aligned with business plans, production needs and workforce changes.
  • Lead and develop a team of HR professionals, establishing responsibilities, priorities and performance expectations.
  • Build workforce plans addressing staffing levels, critical skills and future operating needs.
  • Lead retention initiatives based on turnover patterns and employee feedback across shifts and departments.
  • Partner with senior leaders on organizational efficiency toward productivity.
  • Assess compensation, benefits and programs; coordinate renewals with brokers.
  • Establish consistent HR policies and daily execution by the HR team.
  • Measure results of strategic initiatives and adjust plans accordingly.
  • Collaborate with Corporate Legal Counsel on critical HR matters.

Position Located near Greater Indianapolis

We’re recruiting an HR Director for a manufacturing organization with 1000+ team in Indiana.

HR Director will focus workforce strategy, organizational planning and key initiatives and lead a team of HR generalists to manage day-to-day activities.

We’re looking for an energetic leader who takes initiative, moves decisions into action and follows through on results.

Experience in automotive or a comparable high-volume manufacturing environment is required.

  • Develop and execute an HR strategy tied to business plans, production requirements and workforce changes.
  • Lead and develop a team of 10 HR professionals, establishing responsibilities, priorities and performance expectations.
  • Build workforce plans that address staffing levels, critical skills, labor availability and future operating needs.
  • Lead retention initiatives based on turnover patterns, employee feedback and differences across departments and shifts.
  • Partner with senior leaders on organizational efficiency towards productivity.
  • Assess compensation, benefits and employee programs and recommend changes based on workforce needs and business priorities. Work with benefits brokers on renewals and changes.
  • Establish consistent HR policies and management practices, with the HR team responsible for daily execution.
  • Measure the results of strategic initiatives and adjust plans.
  • Work with Corporate Legal Counsel on critical HR Matters.
Requirements
