Job summary

Rite of Passage - South Florida Youth Academy in Miami, FL seeks an HR Generalist to oversee site HR functions, ensuring goals are met. Reports to the Program Director and District HR Director, with responsibilities across employment, compliance, and staff support.

Requirements include a Bachelor’s degree in HR, business, or related field and at least two years of HR experience; or six years in a similar role. Master’s degree or PHR are preferred.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources, business, or a related field and two years of HR experience; or six years of equivalent experience as an HR Generalist may be substituted.
• Minimum of two years of human resources experience in employee relations, training and/or employment.
• Knowledge of Federal and State employment law, HR policies and practices, and governmental licensing requirements.
• Good interpersonal skills including the ability to interview potential employees if required.
• Be able to pass a criminal background check, child abuse registry, drug screen, physical, and TB test.

Responsibilities

• The Human Resources Generalist is primarily responsible for the oversight of all Human Resources functions for the site to ensure that the Human Resources goals and objectives are met. The Human Resources Generalist reports to the site Program Director and the District Human Resources Director.
