Qualifications

• Knowledge of public personnel administration and HR processes.
• Familiarity with HRIS and personnel systems, including records management.
• Understanding of state personnel rules and related policies.

Responsibilities

• Interprets and applies State Personnel System rules and policies.
• Handles onboarding and 1-9 verification process.
• Prepares personnel action forms and documents.
• Enters data for new hires, promotions, demotions, salary changes into AZ360.
• Manages access to and support for learning management programs.
• Conducts new hire orientation and personnel file reviews; responds to inquiries.
• Manages benefits: enrollment, leaves, and life changes; handles LWOP.
• Reviews FMLA, donated leave, and workers' compensation requests.
• Reviews disciplinary action requests and related docs.
• Researches employee relations files for prior actions and recommended discipline.
• Prepares disciplinary action letters and performance improvement plans.
• Attends meetings and trainings relevant to the area of assignment.
