The Arizona State Retirement System (ASRS) is seeking a proactive, collaborative individual to fill its Human Resources Manager position. Reporting directly to the ASRS Chief of Administrative Services, this position is responsible for developing and executing human resources strategy in support of the overall business plan and strategic direction of the agency and statewide HR initiatives. The HR Manager provides strategic leadership by articulating HR needs and plans to the agency's executive management team and ensures alignment of all duties with ADOA Rules, policies, and procedures.
The ASRS has approximately $60 billion in assets under management and looks to this position for procurement and budgeting needs. Please refer to the ASRS website for additional information for the fiscal year ending June 30, 2025.
This position offers the modern flexibility of a hybrid work environment (within Arizona), balancing remote work with regular onsite presence (2-3 days per week) based on business needs and sustained performance.

The ideal candidate holds a Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or a related field, along with 5+ years of progressively responsible HR experience and 5+ years in a supervisory role. Professional HR certification (HRCI or SHRM) is preferred. Direct experience with the State of Arizona State Personnel System (SPS) and AZ360 is highly desirable.
