Job summary

McLane Company, Inc. in Georgia is seeking an HR Generalist to coordinate daily HR activities and ensure compliance with policies and laws. You will support training programs, administer benefits enrollment, maintain records, recruit, and foster teammate morale in a fast-paced environment.

Requires a bachelor’s degree and at least two years in HR; proficiency in MS Office and PeopleSoft preferred; English fluency required. This is a full-time, on-site role located in Athens, GA.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree required.
• 2+ years of experience in Human Resources.
• Hands-on experience in training and coaching.
• Strong MS Office skills including Word and Excel; PeopleSoft experience preferred.
• Ability to review and interpret data, transactions, policies, and business practices.
• Must read, write and understand English at required level.

Responsibilities

• Assist and observe in various training programs to comply with McLane practices and federal laws.
• Facilitate mandatory training on harassment, substance abuse, safety; arrange classes for teammates.
• Maintain records (FMLA, Workers Compensation, safety investigations) and reporting.
• Support HR Manager as needed.
• Ensure employment processes comply with legal guidelines and treat applicants fairly.
• Manage requisitions and develop recruitment strategies with managers.
• Coordinate and attend career fairs; screen applications and verify previous employment.
• Advise supervisors on hiring procedures; coordinate pre-employment paperwork and orientation.
