Job summary

Dollar Tree's Distribution Center is seeking an HR Generalist to partner with DC leadership and associates to provide comprehensive HR support, recruit and retain hourly talent, and ensure compliance with employment laws.

You will develop training programs, manage HRIS tasks, participate in cross-functional projects, and contribute to associate engagement and retention while upholding company policies.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience in HR or related field
• 2+ years of progressive HR experience, preferably in retail or distribution
• Strong presentation, written and verbal communication skills
• Knowledge of state and federal employment laws
• Ability to maintain confidentiality

Responsibilities

• Maintain personnel records and HRIS systems (e.g., ProWatch, Oracle, Kronos, Family Dollar University).
• Ensure compliance with federal and state employment laws.
• Conduct exit interviews and translate findings into actionable recommendations.
• Identify and recruit hourly talent to staff the facility.
• Assist in administering the performance management process.
• Conduct new-hire orientations, open enrollment, and leadership/401k meetings.
• Assess training needs and create HR training programs.
• Collaborate with centers of expertise to design interventions.
• Support associate engagement and retention initiatives.
• Represent HR on cross-functional projects and provide general HR support.
