Job summary

Magna International Limited in Troy, Michigan is seeking an HR Generalist to support all facets of HR in operations, including recruitment, compensation, policy compliance, immigration, onboarding, benefits, and HRIS administration in a fast-paced manufacturing environment.

The ideal candidate holds an HR diploma with SPHR/PHR preferred, 3 years in HR, strong data-minded skills, and proficiency with Excel, Word, PowerPoint, Outlook, ATS, and HRIS systems such as Workday or PeopleSoft.

Qualifications

• Three (3) years Human Resources experience, or equivalent combination of education and work experience.
• Knowledge of Human Resources practices and relevant employment legislation.
• Proficient with Excel, Word, PowerPoint, Outlook & Applicant tracking software, HRIS (e.g., Workday/PeopleSoft).
• Knowledge of lifecycle recruiting.
• Excellent communication/presentation skills and attention to detail.

Responsibilities

• Support & lead recruiting processes throughout full life cycle recruiting.
• Collaborate to determine talent sourcing strategies.
• Assist in compensation program administration and year-end wage/bonus processes.
• Ensure compliance with policies and government legislation; maintain Employees Charter.
• Coordinate immigration requests as needed; assist with onboarding and new hire paperwork.
• Develop/implement Employee Handbook; maintain Workday; assist with benefits administration.
• Support annual performance and 90-day processes; assist managers with performance inquiries.
• Contribute to training programs, orientation, onboarding, and internship programs.
