Lee Industrial Contracting, based in Pontiac, Michigan, seeks an HR Assistant/Generalist to support talent acquisition, onboarding, and employee relations. You will manage performance processes, maintain HR records, and advise managers on HR policies in a fast-paced environment.

This position emphasizes collaboration, accuracy, and proactive service to employees. Ideal candidates bring a bachelor’s degree in business/HR and 2+ years of HR experience, with proficiency in HRIS, payroll systems,

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in a business-related field; HR experience preferred.
• Minimum of two years’ HR Assistant/Generalist experience.
• Knowledge of labor laws and HR best practices.
• Experience as first point of contact for employees; coaching and conflict resolution.
• Proficiency with HR software (HRIS, payroll systems) and MS Office.
• Strong communication, interpersonal and organizational skills.
• Ability to thrive in a fast-paced environment and manage multiple tasks.

• Foster a positive workplace culture and support talent management.
• Manage talent acquisition, pre-employment screening, onboarding and orientation for trades.
• Administer day-to-day performance management and coaching.
• Maintain employee records in HRIS and ensure data integrity.
• Support life cycle activities including hiring, life events, and separations.
• Explain HR policies and advise managers on employee relations.
• Support company-wide HR programs and workforce planning.
• Monitor HR metrics and provide data-driven insights to senior management.
