Job summary

The Chester County Intermediate Unit invites applications for a Human Resources Generalist. This salaried, exempt position provides confidential HR support across divisions, including full-cycle recruiting, benefits administration, and employee relations.

You will advise managers, interpret policy, and help ensure compliance with regulations and contracts. Based at the ESC in Downingtown, PA, the role requires a Bachelor's in HR or related field and 1–3 years HR experience, with 3–5 preferred.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in HR, business management or related field is required.
• 1–3 years HR experience; 3–5 years preferred.
• PHR certification preferred; clearances within one year required.

Responsibilities

• Coordinate recruitment for exempt and nonexempt staff, students, and temp workers.
• Manage new employee sign-up, benefits review, I-9, W-4, and background checks.
• Handle inquiries from applicants, employees, and supervisors.
• Assist in benefits, leave administration, and total compensation statements.
• Support HRMS system upgrades, generate reports, and ensure policy compliance.
