Job summary

Salt Lake County is seeking a Human Resources professional to coordinate division HR functions and provide administrative support to management and staff. The role involves participating in strategic HR planning and development for the division.

The position requires a Bachelor's degree in HR (or related field) and at least three years of related experience, with ability to pass background checks and RAP Back enrollment as per policy requirements.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Human Resource Management, or related field, plus 3 years of related experience.
• Equivalent combination of related education and/or experience accepted.

Responsibilities

• Coordinate HR functions for the division.
• Support full cycle recruitment and hiring: postings, screening, surveys, interviewing, selection.
• Support performance management: APs, PDPs, PIP, annual appraisals, timely completion.
• Consult on division policies and procedures; assist in HR plans and objectives.
• Assist in managing employee issues, including disciplinary actions and investigations.
• Collaborate with EEO/ER teams on division employee relations issues and investigations.
• Manage division leave records (FMLA, ADA, LTD, Workers’ Comp).
• Prepare recommendations on classifications and salaries.
• Serve as resource on benefits, enrollment, and questions.
• Oversee onboarding program and training for new employees.
• Track and document compliance with training requirements.
• Process personnel actions for division staff.
