Job summary

Salt Lake County is seeking an experienced HR professional to coordinate the division's human resource functions and provide administrative support to leadership. The role involves strategic HR planning and development for the division, including full-cycle recruitment and performance management.

The position requires a Bachelor's degree in HRM or related field plus 3 years of experience, with a background check and RAP Back enrollment.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in HRM or related field and 3 years of related experience.
• Equivalency may be considered with education/experience.
• Background check via fingerprinting and RAP Back required.

Responsibilities

• Coordinate HR functions for the division and support management.
• Lead full cycle recruitment: postings, screening, surveys, interviews, selections.
• Support performance management: PDPs, PIPs, annual appraisals, timely completions.
• Administer policies, procedures and division HR plans with leadership.
• Advise on HR policies and enrollment in benefits programs.
• Handle employee relations, disciplinary actions, investigations as needed.
• Maintain division records for FMLA, ADA, workers' comp and leave.
• Prepare salary classifications and recommendations; assist onboarding training.
• Respond to employee issues with confidentiality and fairness.
• Assist with hiring, training, promotions, evaluations, terminations of temps/volunteers.
