Job summary

Pharos Solutions is seeking an HR Generalist to manage core HR processes and support employees in a fast-paced software environment. The role covers onboarding/offboarding, employee relations, policy compliance, benefits administration, and support for performance processes and DEI initiatives.

You will also contribute to HR operations, documentation, and continuous improvement within a collaborative, learning-focused team. Fluency in English is required; German is a plus.

Qualifications

• BSc/MSc in HR/Business Administration or equivalent.
• 3+ years of direct human resources generalist or HR operations experience.
• Solid understanding of employment laws, labor relations, benefits administration, and HR best practices.
• Hands-on experience with modern HRIS platforms (e.g., BambooHR, Workday, Rippling, Gusto) and ATS platforms.
• Hands-on experience with Google Business Suite and Microsoft 365.
• Exceptional interpersonal and conflict-resolution skills with a proven track record of handling sensitive/confidential information.
• Strong organizational skills, high attention to detail, and the ability to manage multiple priorities independently.
• HR certification (SHRM-CP, PHR, or equivalent) is a plus.
• Experience designing employee recognition programs or DEI initiatives.
• Good problem-solving skills and keen attention to detail.
• Enthusiasm for learning new tools and technologies in a collaborative environment.
• Prior experience in software/IT industry is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Employee Lifecycle Management: Lead end-to-end onboarding, offboarding, and transition processes to ensure a seamless employee experience.
• Employee Relations: Serve as a primary point of contact for employee concerns; facilitate resolution of workplace issues with fairness, discretion, and empathy.
• Compliance & Policy: Maintain up-to-date knowledge of employment laws (federal, state, and local); update employee handbooks, ensure statutory compliance, and manage workplace records.
• Benefits & HR Operations: Assist with benefits open enrollment, leave administration (FMLA, parental leave), and maintain accuracy across our HRIS system.
• Performance & Engagement: Coordinate performance review cycles, support manager training, and champion company culture initiatives and team engagement programs.
