Forest Area Federal Credit Union is seeking a Human Resources Generalist to build relationships, solve problems, take ownership, and impact the organization across HR functions.

The role covers payroll, recruiting, benefits, performance, compliance, and HR operations, with a focus on confidential, professional guidance and process improvement. This position emphasizes employee experience and internal service excellence.

Qualifications

• 1–3 years of HR or related experience.
• Bachelor's degree in HR, Business Administration, or related field, or an equivalent combination of education, professional certifications, and HR experience.
• Knowledge of general HR principles, practices, and employment requirements.
• Strong communication and relationship-building skills.
• Ability to maintain confidentiality and exercise sound judgment.
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office and the ability to learn HR/payroll systems.

Responsibilities

• Support payroll and HR systems processes and audits.
• Assist with recruitment activities from job posting through onboarding.
• Provide guidance on HR policies and processes to employees and managers.
• Maintain accurate HR records and documentation.
• Support performance management and employee relations activities.
• Assist with HR compliance, reporting, audits, and recordkeeping.
