Job summary

Forest Area Federal Credit Union is seeking a Human Resources Generalist to partner with employees and leaders, supporting payroll, benefits, onboarding, and HR processes. This role emphasizes confidentiality, strong communication, and relationship-building to deliver trusted HR services across FAFCU.

The Generalist will work with the HR Director on policy adherence, performance initiatives, and HR projects, aiming to enhance the employee experience and organizational effectiveness within FAFCU.

Qualifications

• 1–3 years of Human Resources or related experience.
• Bachelor's degree in HR, Business Admin, or related field, or equivalent experience.
• Knowledge of general HR principles, practices, and employment requirements.
• Strong communication and relationship-building skills.
• Ability to maintain confidentiality and exercise sound judgment.
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office and HR/payroll systems.

Responsibilities

• Payroll processing, audits, and HR system maintenance.
• Recruiting and onboarding from posting to new-hire documentation.
• Benefits administration and leave coordination.
• Performance management support and employee relations guidance.
• HR compliance, reporting, audits, and recordkeeping.
