Job summary

Frey Consulting Group is seeking an experienced HR Generalist to join our HR Shared Services team, providing hands-on support across the employee lifecycle both remotely and onsite once a month in Austin, TX or Los Angeles, CA.

You will handle inquiries, performance management support, onboarding, offboarding, benefits, payroll, and HR policy questions, partnering with people leaders and HR specialists to streamline processes and improve the employee experience.

Qualifications

• 3+ years of HR Generalist or related HR experience.
• Broad knowledge of the employee lifecycle and HR policies.
• Experience partnering with people leaders on performance issues.
• Strong judgment to assess context and risk and escalation when needed.
• Experience with HRIS and ticketing/case-management systems.

Responsibilities

• Serve as first contact for employee and manager HR questions, resolving routine matters and escalating complex issues.
• Partner with people leaders on performance management and employee situations, reviewing documentation and policies.
• Manage onboarding, transfers, promotions, status changes, terminations, and offboarding.
• Provide first-line support for benefits, payroll, leaves, workers' compensation, HR policies, and related programs.
• Support terminations, reorganizations, and reductions in force with communications and HR transactions.
• Coordinate employment verifications, unemployment processes, immigration administration, and contingent worker lifecycle.
• Maintain accurate HRIS transactions, records, case documentation, and compliance.
• Support HRBPs with reporting, documentation, data, and operational needs.
• Identify opportunities to streamline HR workflows and leverage technology, automation, and AI to improve operations.
