Job summary

TCWGlobal is seeking an experienced HR Generalist to join our HR Shared Services team across the employee lifecycle. The role combines day-to-day HR support, performance management, lifecycle administration, and HR process improvement, with remote work and 1x/month on-site in Austin or Los Angeles.

You will partner with people leaders on performance management and employee situations, manage onboarding, transitions, promotions, status changes, terminations, and offboarding, and handle benefits

Qualifications

• 3+ years of HR Generalist or related HR experience.
• Broad knowledge of the employee lifecycle and HR policies.
• Experience partnering with people leaders on performance management.
• Strong judgment to assess context and risk.
• Experience with HRIS and ticketing systems.
• Customer-service mindset with strong communication.
• Interest in process improvement using technology.
• SHRM or HRCI certification is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Serve as first point of contact for employee and manager HR questions.
• Partner with people leaders on performance management and employee situations.
• Manage onboarding, transfers, promotions, status changes, terminations, and offboarding.
• Provide first-line support related to benefits, payroll, leaves, workers' comp, and HR policies.
• Support terminations, reorganizations, and reductions in force through documentation and offboarding.
• Coordinate employment verifications, unemployment processes, immigration administration, and contingent worker lifecycle activities.
• Maintain accurate HRIS transactions and employee records.
• Support HRBPs with reporting, documentation, data, and operational HR needs.
• Identify opportunities to streamline HR workflows and leverage tech and AI to improve HR operations.
